Woven in the Zari Kattam Kanchipuram tradition, this handwoven pure mulberry silk saree pairs a softly luminous warm-ivory silk body with a fine gold zari kattam grid, alternating petite round zari medallions and small Kili-like bird motifs arranged in open intervals. Layered pale-gold zari floral vines, petal motifs and fine linear registers frame a luminous central gold band, completed by a dark maragatham-green selvedge. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
