These first weaves are where our ideas take shape. Colours are explored, borders refined and intricate details brought to life on the loom.

What is a First Weave saree?
A First Weave saree is an original design sample created during Idam Living’s design-development process. It allows us to explore colours, weaving details and the overall composition before a design becomes part of our regular collection. These samples are almost identical to their finished designs.
Why are these sarees priced lower than the regular collection?
These pieces come from our original design-sample collection rather than a new production release. We’re making a carefully selected group available at specially reduced prices, offering customers a rare opportunity to own a piece of our design journey for considerably less.
Are First Weave sarees previously worn or secondhand?
No. These are original design samples created for Idam Living’s collection-development process. They may have been draped on mannequins for design evaluation or photography, but they are not pre-owned sarees.
Are these genuine handwoven silk sarees?
The collection features authentic handwoven silk sarees selected from our design samples. The exact silk composition, weaving technique and certification details vary by product. Please refer to each individual saree’s description for verified specifications and applicable Silk Mark certification.
How many pieces are available, and how are they shipped?
Only one piece of each included sample design is available in this edit. These selected sarees are held in New Jersey for USA fulfilment. Complimentary USA standard shipping is available, and any express shipping options and delivery estimates will be displayed according to the applicable shipping policy and checkout settings.
