The warm ivory body is woven in pure mulberry silk and scattered with petite silk thread motifs in raspberry pink and deep purple. These small touches of colour sit lightly against the ivory ground, preserving the quiet character of the body while introducing a distinctive multicolour detail.

The broad Vadamalli purple border is the defining feature. Multiple ornamental rows create the characteristic Varisaipet structure, with fine gold zari registers, geometric and floral details, and a prominent Mayil panel of woven peacocks. The individually defined rows give the border a beautifully ordered appearance.

The pallu becomes considerably richer, opening into a dense field of fine geometric gold zari and finishing with multiple ornamental zari bands. The saturated Vadamalli purple and warm gold create a strong counterpoint to the restrained ivory body.

Keep the blouse close to the Vadamalli purple of the border and allow the ivory body to remain the visual focus.
