Warm Ivory and Peacock Blue Pure Kanchipuram Silk Varisaipet Saree
Warm Ivory and Peacock Blue Pure Kanchipuram Silk Varisaipet Saree
In warm ivory like sunlit temple stone, peacock blue along the upper edge, Kathiripoo purple through the pettu and cinnamon-copper brown at the hem, this Pure Kanchipuram Silk saree carries the beautiful cadence of traditional Varisaipet handloom weaving. The colour story is richly Kanchipuram: distinctive, luminous and enduring.
❖ Woven on traditional handlooms by artisan families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, where generations of weaving knowledge shape every saree. Approximately 16 active days on the loom, followed by careful finishing.

Pure Mulberry Silk
Handwoven in Kanchipuram
A warm ivory body traversed by delicate repeating horizontal zari bands, with a richly tiered purple pettu featuring floral and figurative zari motifs, a peacock-blue upper border and copper-brown lower panel. The repeating horizontal varisai (rows) lend the body a graceful, structured rhythm, while the pettu gathers stacked bands of ornamental zari work. Floral and traditional geometric details are woven into the cloth, not embroidered onto it. Read our story.
Border A richly tiered purple pettu featuring floral and figurative zari motifs, a peacock-blue upper border and copper-brown lower panel.
Pallu A deep kathiripoo-purple pallu with a magnificent gold-toned diamond lattice, floral ornament and broad vertical zari sections. Its concentrated intricacy provides a beautiful counterpoint to the ordered body, recalling the layered ornament of old Kanchipuram temple architecture.
Styling Pair with a tonal silk blouse for a quiet, regal effect or a contrasting Banarasi blouse for wedding gatherings, temple visits and festive celebrations. A beautiful choice for a treasured silk wardrobe or meaningful gifting.
