This is a confirmed Vairaoosi composition in lightweight pure mulberry silk, with a fine linear texture handwoven across the body to create a delicate ribbed effect. Woven for Idam Living by skilled artisan families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

Body, Border and Pallu: The body carries the characteristic fine linear texture of the weave; against this restrained ivory ground, small gold zari buttas appear at measured intervals, giving the surface gentle points of light without making the saree feel visually heavy. The border is where the workmanship becomes more elaborate, with multiple gold zari registers combining fine geometric lines, floral forms and traditional figurative motifs, all framed by a subtle muted teal green edge. The pallu is especially striking, with long vertical zari bands alternating with broader traditional motif panels across the Warm Ivory silk, giving the pallu grandeur without compromising the lightweight character of the saree. Explore the Vairaoosi collection, or browse the wider pure silk Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.

Styling: Keep the blouse in Warm Ivory for a refined tonal look, or use the muted teal green at the edge as a subtle contrast. Antique gold jewellery will complement the detailed zari beautifully, while pearls can make the saree feel especially elegant for daytime occasions.

Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m running blouse piece. See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
