The saree is woven in a soft warm ivory-cream Katan silk, its gently luminous surface scattered with tiny deep maroon buttas. Their restrained scale leaves generous areas of silk visible, giving the body an airy, refined character rather than an overly embellished appearance. What gives this Chanderi its distinction is the beautifully detailed border. A warm ochre-gold ground is framed with deep maroon detailing and filled with a continuous floral vine, with touches of green adding subtle contrast. The intricate botanical border runs along the length of the saree, creating a richly defined frame against the quiet ivory body. Discover more handwoven Chanderi sarees.

The pallu becomes considerably more expressive. Rows of the floral border frame a series of large stylized flowering plant motifs, worked in deep maroon with muted green accents. The contrast between the delicate dotted body and the more elaborate pallu creates a graceful progression when the saree is draped.

Its lightness also makes it an excellent choice when an occasion involves several hours of wear—especially summer weddings, festive lunches, temple gatherings or celebrations where you will be hosting and moving throughout the day.

Pair it with the coordinating running blouse for a beautifully understated traditional look, or introduce deep maroon, rust or muted green through the blouse to draw out the colours of the border. Antique gold jewellery would complement its warm botanical palette particularly well.
