Vermilion Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Petite Gandaberunda Buttas

Woven in the Butta tradition, this Pure Silk Kanjivaram saree is defined by a vibrant body punctuated with petite zari Gandaberunda buttas, a fine small zari border, and a richly woven pallu. The contrast between the simpler body and the fuller gold pallu gives it the familiar old-Kanchi balance of clarity and celebration. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 14 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: A neat small zari border lends crisp framing, softened by the petal-pink contrast line along the edge.
Pallu: A rich petal pink pallu unfolds in dense gold zari brocade with a fine lattice-like field and traditional seer finish.
Styling: Pair it with a self red, petal-pink or antique gold blouse, traditional gold jewellery, bangles and flowers in the hair. It is a natural choice for Deepavali visits, wedding functions, receptions, family pujas, Thanksgiving hosting, Christmas celebrations and Sankranti get-togethers.
The warmth of the red body and pink pallu gives it a celebratory mood that works beautifully for festive occasions, ceremonies, cultural gatherings and special occasions.
