The kumkum-red body is marked with oversized, ornate buttas drawn from mayil and kamalam vocabulary, giving the saree a fuller decorative character than a small-scale butta layout. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living.
