Vermilion Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Mayil Zari Motif and Gold Border

Vermilion Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Mayil Zari Motif and Gold Border

She wears traditional clothes better than anyone — a saree worthy of her — calls for a saree of radiant, glowing texture. This saree is handwoven in the exquisite Vairaoosi weave — fine needle-like zari lines woven continuously across the body, creating a delicate all-over shimmer. Each saree takes 45 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Our weaver families across Kanchipuram district bring this saree to life on the loom. Read our story.

Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. Every saree is made to order. 45 days pass between dyeing the silk and the finished weave, roughly 20 of it spent on the loom.

The vibrant vermilion red pure mulberry silk body is enriched with delicate horizontal zari detailing, giving the saree a refined texture and exceptional brilliance — the thousands of fine zari threads of a true Vairaoosi weave create a soft, radiant glow from every angle.

A beautifully woven Mayil (peacock) zari motif adorns the body, symbolizing grace and prosperity, while the elegant gold zari border features intricate traditional floral and geometric artistry from pure silk Kanchipuram weaving. The richly woven zari pallu completes this timeless creation.

A graceful choice for weddings, temple festivals, and cherished family celebrations. Pair with a deep gold or ivory silk blouse and classic gold jewellery — a temple necklace and jhumkas — for a radiant, festive finish.
