Vermilion Orange and Gold Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Zari Kattam Elephant Border
Vermilion Orange and Gold Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Zari Kattam Elephant Border
A vibrant vermilion orange Kancheepuram silk saree is woven in the classic zari kattam pattern, fine gold checks illuminating the self-coloured body from end to end. Each saree of this kind takes our weavers between five and seven days on the pit loom to complete, thread by careful thread. Woven by our family's artisan weaver families in Kunnam village near Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu — read our story.
The vermilion orange body is woven in pure mulberry silk, finished with delicate floral motifs that punctuate the zari kattam grid. Explore more from our Zari Kattam collection.
A traditional elephant zari border, accented with a green selvedge, completes the saree with striking contrast.
This saree suits festive occasions and temple visits alike. Pair with a green or gold blouse, and finish the look with temple jewellery.
Shipping details are available on our Shipping & Returns page.
Store this saree folded in muslin cloth, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Dry clean only, and re-fold along fresh lines every few months to preserve the zari.
