This is a confirmed Ettukol composition in pure mulberry silk, woven using the traditional eight-shuttle technique that lets the weaver manage rapid, controlled colour changes across the border. Body, Border and Pallu: The distinction lies in the double-sided multicolour temple Pettu. Long Thazhampoo Reku-style points rise into the Ivory field in alternating Lime Green, Mustard Gold, soft Peach and Rose Pink, creating a rhythmic flame-like edge. Ettukol craftsmanship gives the complex colour changes a distinctly handwoven Kanchi character. Rather than a single ornamental band, the border reads as successive fields of colour and zari.
