What makes this a Kanchipuram silk saree?
It is handwoven in pure silk by artisan families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, and is Silk Mark Certified.
What is the Varisaipet border?
Varisaipet refers to rows (varisai) of ornamental bands stacked along the border, giving a rich, layered look.
How does the zari detailing appear?
Fine needle-like zari stripes and petite motifs cover the body, and the peacock-blue border and pallu carry gold floral rosettes, stylised birds and a diamond lattice.
What blouse colours complement this combination?
A peacock-blue blouse matches the border and pallu; a gold or Vadamalli purple blouse also works beautifully.
