Turmeric Yellow Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Butta Saree with Fine Antique Gold Zari Buttas, Grand Traditional Border and Rich Woven Pallu
Turmeric Yellow gives this handwoven pure silk Kanjivaram Butta saree a warm, saturated radiance. Fine antique-gold zari buttas create a delicate shimmer across the body, with the zari sitting close in tone to the yellow silk for a warm gold-on-gold effect.

This is a confirmed Butta composition in pure mulberry silk, with small individually spaced zari motifs set against an open silk ground, leaving the body relatively uncluttered between each motif. This particular piece represents approximately 25 active days on the loom, though weaving time varies by piece. Woven for Idam Living by skilled artisan families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story.
Body, Border and Pallu: The silk moves between turmeric, saffron and deeper mustard-gold through the folds, becoming brighter and more golden under direct light. The border becomes substantially richer through broad antique-gold zari, layered ornamental registers and traditional floral and paisley-like forms. A narrow Deep Brown finishing edge adds a precise line of definition beneath the warm gold palette. The pallu develops into a dense antique-gold composition with fine geometric lattice and long traditional woven registers. Pair it with Turmeric Yellow for a tonal look, Deep Brown for contrast, or antique gold for a more ceremonial blouse treatment.
