Turmeric Gold Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Raspberry Korvai Elephant Zari Border
Turmeric Gold Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Raspberry Korvai Elephant Zari Border
A Diwali Milan party — that desi neighbourhood get-together with mithai and sparklers — calls for a saree as bright and celebratory as the evening itself. Korvai construction means body and border are woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom. Each saree involves two separate weaving processes — the Korvai construction requires body and border to be woven on separate looms before structural interlocking. 20 days on the loom, and cannot be replicated by machine. Our weaver families across Kanchipuram district bring this saree to life on the loom. Read our story.
The luminous turmeric gold body is woven from 100% pure mulberry silk and adorned with finely spaced gold zari buttas in floral medallion and mango motifs, their understated brilliance letting the vibrant silk shine through. Explore more from our Korvai Kanchipuram silk saree collection.
The raspberry Korvai border is filled with regal elephant motifs alongside intricately woven temple bands, floral vines and geometric zari panels. The grand pallu continues with elaborate handwoven zari work that lends ceremonial splendour to this Kanchipuram ceremonial silk.
Pair this saree with a raspberry silk blouse and classic temple jewellery for weddings, religious ceremonies and festive occasions — it suits a Diwali Milan party just as well as a muhurtham.
