Tender Leaf Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Varisaipet Saree with Ornamental Zari Border
Tender Leaf Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Varisaipet Saree with Ornamental Zari Border
The tender green of a new leaf after rain, pale as the first thulir unfurling in a Kanchipuram garden, warmed by sunlit gold. Handwoven in pure Kanchipuram silk, its petite zari Mayil Chakram buttas lead the eye toward an expressive multi-banded border and a resplendent seer pallu.
❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree spent roughly 16 active days on the loom, in addition to dyeing, threading and finishing.

Border: A multi-register Varisaipet composition of gleaming zari and green silk rows, with richly woven floral and figurative ornament between broad geometric gold panels.
Pallu: A luminous seer pallu with closely repeated diamond-grid zari work and softly shining gold ornament, set against the calm leaf-green silk.
Styling: Wear with a matching pale-green blouse for a delicate tonal composition, or choose muted gold sleeves to echo the border panels. Small pearl-and-gold earrings and fresh jasmine will suit a daytime wedding, temple gathering or Pongal celebration.
