Soft Peach Blush Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Zari Kattam Saree with Gold Buttas and Ornamental Zari Border
Soft Peach Blush Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Zari Kattam Saree with Gold Buttas and Ornamental Zari Border
Soft Peach Blush gives this handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram saree a wonderfully gentle warmth. The colour sits between muted rose, pale peach and a whisper of sandalwood pink, shifting subtly as the silk catches light. Extremely fine gold zari lines move across the body to create the quiet geometry of Zari Kattam, while petite gold buttas are placed individually across the surface like small points of light.
❖ Nothing here comes off a shelf. 42 days of dyeing, threading, and weaving go into every saree, 16 of that on the loom.

This is a confirmed Zari Kattam composition in pure mulberry silk, with fine gold zari lines intersecting across the body to create its delicate checked structure. A saree of this type typically represents approximately 6 to 10 active days on the loom, although individual weaving time varies. Woven for Idam Living by skilled artisan families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story.
Body, Border and Pallu: The beauty of Zari Kattam lies in this understated structure. Fine metallic lines are woven directly into the silk to create a delicate checked rhythm, adding depth without turning the body into a heavily patterned field. From a distance the saree remains soft and tonal; viewed more closely, the zari intersections become visible and give the peach-pink silk a beautifully layered surface. The border brings considerably more ornament. Antique-gold zari is arranged through multiple registers, beginning with repeated ornamental figurative forms and continuing through finely scaled floral, geometric and paisley-like bands. Because the zari remains close in tone to the body, the border feels rich without becoming visually heavy. The effect is almost monochromatic, with peach, rose-gold and antique gold blending into one luminous palette. The pallu expands that language into a dense field of fine zari geometry and closely woven ornamental bands. Explore the Zari Kattam collection, or browse the wider pure silk Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.
Styling: Style it with a deep teal, emerald or muted aubergine blouse for a saturated counterpoint, or keep the look tonal with a rose-gold or antique-gold blouse. Gold earrings, a short temple necklace and a softly centre-parted low bun will preserve the saree's refined softness while allowing the intricate border to remain the focus.
