Soft Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjipuram Saree with Gold Zari Buttas and Emerald Green Korvai Border

Soft Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjipuram Saree with Gold Zari Buttas and Emerald Green Korvai Border

A Fourth of July Indian American community picnic and cultural show calls for a saree that balances understated elegance with festive spirit. Delicate gold zari buttas are placed evenly across the soft ivory pure mulberry silk body, woven directly into the fabric during weaving — a hallmark of authentic Kanchipuram craftsmanship. Each saree takes 45 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Handwoven by generations of artisans in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. Handwoven to order over 45 days — dyeing through to the final weave, no two pieces identical.
● Silk Mark Certified ● 20 Days on Loom ● Pure Mulberry Silk ● Handwoven in Kanchipuram

The body is a soft ivory pure mulberry silk, evenly scattered with delicate gold zari buttas that let the contrast border take center stage while retaining a refined, ceremonial elegance. This is a signature Kanchipuram pure silk Kanchipuram construction, prized for its understated elegance.

Woven in the traditional Korvai technique — body and border woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom — the emerald green Korvai border is richly detailed with antique-gold zari peacock and floral motifs, framed by fine ornamental bands that emphasize the precision of the contrast construction. The pallu carries the same rich zari peacock and floral detailing in a fuller sweep.

The luminous ivory body, vivid green border, and traditional gold zari work create a timeless composition suited to weddings, temple ceremonies, festive gatherings, and milestone celebrations. Pair with an emerald green or antique gold silk blouse and statement gold jewellery — a temple necklace and jhumkas — for a timeless, ceremonial finish.
