Soft Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Understated Body and Raspberry Pink Korvai Border

Soft Ivory Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Understated Body and Raspberry Pink Korvai Border

Monthly kitty party with the ladies — a new saree to turn heads at the table — calls for a saree of luminous, quietly striking colour. The soft ivory pure mulberry silk body is understated by design, allowing the elaborate contrast border to take centre stage. Each saree takes 45 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. This saree is handwoven by our partner weaver families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.

Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree took 45 days — dyeing, threading, and roughly 20 on the loom — to complete.
● Silk Mark Certified ● 20 Days on Loom ● Pure Mulberry Silk ● Handwoven in Kanchipuram

The body is a luminous soft ivory pure mulberry silk, deliberately understated so the elaborate contrast border can take centre stage. This is a signature Kanchipuram pure silk Kanchipuram construction, prized for its understated elegance.

Woven in the traditional Korvai technique, the raspberry pink border is created separately and structurally hand-interlocked with the ivory body on the loom. Antique-gold zari peacock and floral motifs fill the broad border, framed by intricate ornamental bands and delicate zari detailing. The pallu carries the same rich zari peacock and floral detailing in a fuller sweep.

The classic ivory, raspberry, and antique-gold palette gives the saree exceptional ceremonial grandeur, making it ideal for weddings, bridal events, temple celebrations, and milestone occasions. Pair with a raspberry pink or antique gold silk blouse and statement gold jewellery — a temple necklace and jhumkas — for a grand, ceremonial finish.
