Woven in the Paalum Pazhamum tradition, alternating sky-blue and ivory sections create a large, clearly articulated multicolour checked field across the body. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: The cool body is grounded by a broad deep-brown border. Along its edge, gold-zari Mayil motifs sit within a dense climbing composition of Kodi Malar and foliage.

Pallu: The handwoven pallu becomes richly metallic, with a dense all-over zari field framed by traditional peacock and floral registers against deep brown.

Styling: A plain deep-brown blouse will emphasize the unusual freshness of the blue-and-ivory checks. Antique gold jewellery can then pick up the border without disturbing the restrained body palette.
