Woven in the Varisaipet tradition, the saree frames a saturated scarlet-red body with repeated silk and classic-gold bands at the border. Fine gold checked lines and individually spaced zari buttas introduce geometry across the body without crowding the red silk. Border: The Varisaipet border alternates burnt orange and deep olive-brown silk with repeated narrow classic-gold zari registers. A broader floral-vine gold-zari band anchors the upper edge, while the darker lower registers create a strong layered frame against the scarlet-red body.
Pallu: The contrast pallu brightens into an orange-gold field with vertical red silk registers, broad woven gold areas and olive-and-orange striped end bands. Orange and deep-red tassels complete the pallu, giving the shoulder end a warmer and more concentrated colour treatment than the body.
