Sage Green Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Varisaipet Floral Butta and Vanasringaram Yaanai Border
Sage Green Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Varisaipet Floral Butta and Vanasringaram Yaanai Border
Sage green in Kanchipuram silk is a colour of considered refinement — the warm, spiced green that reads as sophisticated and composed. A contemporary Kanchipuram for those who want the tradition without the festival volume. This KanchiPattu is woven in the Varisaipet tradition, the body in plain pure mulberry silk of great depth and stillness. Each saree takes 8–12 days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine. Woven by our family's artisan weaver families in Kunnam village near Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu — read our story.
The sage green body is pure mulberry silk in the Varisaipet weave. Floral Butta in gold zari — compact, precisely rendered floral medallions — are placed at measured intervals, each one catching light cleanly. Browse all pure silk Kanchipuram sarees.
The deep forest green Varisaipet border creates a sophisticated monochromatic tonal harmony with the sage green body — same colour family, deeper register, the border grounding the body without contrasting with it. The Vanasringaram vocabulary in the border carries Yaanai Butta (elephant motifs) in procession in gold zari. The pallu continues in the same deep forest green Vanasringaram structure.
Styling: For contemporary bridal receptions, cultural events, and occasions where a minimalist Kanchipuram is desired. A sage green or forest green silk blouse works equally well. Pair with emerald-set or tourmaline-set gold jewellery.
