The body is a richly saturated royal violet, punctuated with petite gold zari buttas that glow quietly against the deep jewel-toned silk. Their restrained scale leaves plenty of uninterrupted colour visible, giving the saree richness without making the body feel heavily worked.

The traditional Rettapet border introduces vivid raspberry magenta against the violet body. Large stylised floral chakra medallions unfold across the border in luminous gold zari, accompanied by fine geometric and leaf-inspired zari bands that give the composition its beautifully ordered character.

The pallu continues the raspberry magenta and gold palette with long vertical zari lines, delicate leaf forms and densely woven geometric panels. The greater concentration of zari creates a striking finish while carrying the border palette naturally through the drape.

Royal violet, raspberry magenta and warm gold come together in a distinctly old-world Kanchipuram palette, rich in colour and especially beautiful under evening light.
