Royal Violet Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Lavender-Grey Korvai Border
Royal Violet Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Lavender-Grey Korvai Border
For starting a saree collection to pass down — the first heirloom for the next generation — this beautifully composed pure silk Kanchipuram saree is woven in the Korvai style. Body and border woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom. Each saree takes 45 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Our artisan partners in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district hand-weave every saree we sell. Read our story.
❖ Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. Every saree is made to order. 45 days pass between dyeing the silk and the finished weave, roughly 20 days of it spent on the loom.

The saturated violet body is scattered with prominent circular zari medallion buttas — their rounded, coin-like silhouettes containing intricate traditional detailing, creating luminous gold accents against the uninterrupted expanse of violet silk.
The border shifts into a softer lavender-grey silk, allowing the broad gold zari work to glow without competing with the body colour — ornamental floral and traditional figurative detailing is woven into the zari, framed by fine geometric edging for a polished finish.
Styling Tip
A lighter tonal blouse in lavender-grey softens the saturated violet body, with uncut-diamond or polki earrings for quiet richness. Keep the pallu pleats broad and let the medallion buttas and gold zari border carry the saree's presence.
Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m self-colour lavender-grey piece, with complimentary tailoring through August 27 ($30 value). See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
