Royal Purple Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Gold Zari Butta Motifs
Royal Purple Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Gold Zari Butta Motifs
Celebrating a friend's anniversary with a saree as memorable as the day itself, this Royal Purple Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree brings the effortless comfort of Lightweight Silk to a milestone worth marking. Woven using finer 2-ply and 3-ply mulberry silk yarn, it moves with an easy fluidity rarely found in traditional Kanchipuram weaves. Each saree takes 7 days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine. This saree is handwoven by our partner weaver families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.
The royal purple body is scattered with delicately woven gold zari buttas, lending a quiet shimmer to the plain silk ground without overwhelming it. Woven from fine pure mulberry silk, the saree keeps the signature Kanchipuram lustre while staying light enough for all-day wear. Explore more of our pure silk Kanchipuram collection.
A contrasting raspberry pink selvedge frames an intricately woven antique gold zari border, its temple-inspired motifs drawing on centuries-old Kanchipuram border traditions carried into the pallu. The interplay of raspberry and gold gives the saree a festive edge that still reads as understated.
This saree moves easily from a temple visit to an anniversary dinner, an office function, or a family gathering. Pair it with a self-coloured raspberry pink blouse for a tonal look, or a contrasting antique gold blouse to echo the border. Temple jewellery in gold, or a simple string of pearls, complements the saree's quiet shimmer without competing with it.
