Woven in the Varisaipet tradition, the royal-blue body is scattered with alternating Mayil and Kamalam zari buttas, giving the open silk field a measured rhythm. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: An elaborate gold-zari border builds through multiple narrow registers before opening into a procession of peacocks held within beautifully articulated ornamental arches.

Pallu: The handwoven pallu is richly developed with long zari registers and repeated ornamental bands, continuing the peacock-led vocabulary of the border.

Styling: The depth of the blue needs very little interruption. Antique gold jewellery and a blouse drawn from the same blue will keep attention on the extraordinary zari work.
