Royal Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Korvai Saree with Rani Pink Stacked Zari Border
Royal Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Korvai Saree with Rani Pink Stacked Zari Border
Royal Blue silk meets vivid Rani Pink in this handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Korvai saree, creating a colour pairing with exceptional festive presence. The blue is saturated and jewel-like, while the pink border brings an immediate burst of brightness, tempered by narrow deep green bands and the warmth of traditional gold zari. Woven by artisan families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

The blue body is deliberately spacious, allowing individual gold zari motifs to stand clearly against the silk. Petite circular buttas alternate with larger stylised bird forms, giving the body a measured rhythm without obscuring the colour or natural handwoven lustre. The restrained body becomes an elegant counterpoint to the far more elaborate Korvai border. Explore our Pure Silk Kanchipuram sarees.
The stacked border is the visual centrepiece. Rani Pink forms its brilliant base while slender deep green bands divide multiple layers of gold zari ornament. Processional animal and bird registers, clearly woven elephants, floral bands, geometric detailing and temple-like triangular edging are arranged one above another, giving the border extraordinary depth. The effect is ornate yet highly structured, with every register contributing to the richness of the Korvai contrast.
The pallu turns fully toward Rani Pink and gold, with a densely woven geometric zari field framed by elaborate ornamental registers. Styled with a Rani Pink blouse, the colour story becomes exuberantly festive; a deep green blouse instead draws out the narrow green accents within the border. Antique gold jewellery, a traditional bun or a clean contemporary drape will allow the extraordinary colour contrast and stacked zari workmanship to remain the focus.
