The Korvai body is handwoven in a luminous rose pink pure mulberry silk, scattered with delicately handwoven zari buttas that let the lustrous texture and subtle tonal variations of the silk remain beautifully visible.

The contrasting Korvai border is the highlight — a rich raspberry-red, richly woven with Vanasringaram-inspired detailing in brilliant gold zari, with intricate foliage, traditional ornamental forms and figurative motifs against the raspberry-red silk. The splendidly woven grand pallu carries this richness into broader, densely worked zari panels with elaborate traditional motifs and generous expanses of gold zari.
