The body is woven from 100% pure mulberry silk in a graceful rose petal pink — softer and more delicate than a classic rose pink, with a gentle blush glow reminiscent of freshly opened garden roses at sunrise — and enriched with delicate Mayil Kamalam (Peacock Lotus) zari buttas, an auspicious motif symbolising beauty, prosperity and grace. Running gracefully throughout the body are exceptionally fine Vairaoosi-inspired zari filaments, creating elegant vertical stripes known as Oosivaanam, adding depth and a soft, ethereal radiance that shifts beautifully with the light. The traditional Rettapet border is intricately woven with alternating silk thread stripes and rich zari motifs, creating a harmonious interplay of colour and metallic brilliance that highlights the precision of Kanchipuram weaving.
