Robin's Egg Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Black Silk Checks and Yazhi Border

Robin's Egg Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Black Silk Checks and Yazhi Border

Celebrating a daughter's birthday with a saree she'll treasure for years — calls for a saree of crisp, contemporary elegance. This saree is handwoven in the traditional Kanchi Kattam style — intersecting silk threads form a structured checkered grid across the body. Each saree takes 46 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Each saree comes from the weaver families of Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.

Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. Handwoven to order. 46 days, start to finish — from dyeing the silk thread to the final weave on the loom.
● Silk Mark Certified● 46 Days on Loom● Pure Mulberry Silk● Handwoven in Kanchipuram

The body is a luminous robin's egg blue pure mulberry silk woven with delicate black silk checks, creating a crisp, contemporary interpretation of the classic pure silk Kanchipuram Kanchi Kattam weave — finely woven silk checks that lend structure and understated elegance.

The contrasting deep aubergine border is richly adorned with majestic Gaja-Yali (Yazhi) gold zari motifs, complemented by an opulent gold zari pallu that showcases the artistry of Kanchipuram ceremonial silks. The pallu continues the same zari craftsmanship in a fuller sweep.

An elegant choice for weddings, festive gatherings, and cherished heirloom collections. Pair with a deep aubergine or ivory silk blouse and classic gold jewellery — a temple necklace and jhumkas — for a refined, celebratory finish.
