Raspberry Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Dark Contrast Korvai Zari Border
Raspberry Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Dark Contrast Korvai Zari Border
Worn to a Carnatic music kutcheri at a desi sabha in the USA, this handwoven pure silk Kancheepuram saree brings together a saturated raspberry-pink body and a dramatically darker Korvai border. In Korvai construction, the body and contrasting border are woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom.
❖ Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. This Korvai saree spends approximately 15 to 22 active days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine.

The pure mulberry silk body has the vivid depth of ripe raspberry pink, punctuated by individually spaced gold zari buttas that allow the brilliance of the silk itself to remain visible.
Its contrast border moves into a deep maroon-brown ground, richly illuminated with broad antique-gold appearance zari ornament. Layered linear registers and large traditional ornamental forms give the border a distinctly ceremonial scale against the bright pink body.
Styling: Let the zari lead. Pair it with a clean deep-maroon or raspberry blouse and avoid dense neck jewellery. Choose substantial antique-gold earrings, neatly pleated hair and an open border so the contrast between vivid silk and dark gold-work remains the focus.
Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m running blouse piece included. Colour and design are not separately confirmed from the supplied product photographs. See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
