Raspberry Pink with Orange Radiance Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Vairaoosi Saree with Stacked Gold Zari Border and Deep Green Selvedge

Raspberry Pink with Orange Radiance Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Vairaoosi Saree with Stacked Gold Zari Border and Deep Green Selvedge

This handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Vairaoosi is defined by colour before anything else. At first glance it is a saturated Raspberry Pink, but as the silk moves through the light, a delicate trace of warm orange appears within it, giving the surface a subtle double-tone radiance.

❖ 45 days start to finish, with about 20 of that time spent on the loom.

This is a confirmed Vairaoosi composition in pure mulberry silk, with a fine linear woven texture across the body. A saree of this type typically represents approximately 15 to 22 active days on the loom, although individual weaving time varies. Woven for Idam Living by skilled artisan families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

Body, Border and Pallu: Small antique gold zari motifs are placed at measured intervals across the body, adding delicate points of ornament without interrupting the richness of the silk. The border is built through stacked zari registers, fine floral bands, geometric divisions and narrow linear zari elements layered one above another for a richly layered architectural edge, finished with a fine Deep Green selvedge along the outer edge. The pallu develops the zari work further, becoming denser and more ceremonial with repeated woven motifs and richly articulated ornamental bands. Explore the Vairaoosi collection, or browse the wider pure silk Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.

Styling: Pair it with a tonal Raspberry Pink blouse to let the double-tone silk remain the focus, or introduce a very fine Deep Green piping detail to echo the selvedge. Antique gold jewellery complements the stacked zari beautifully.

Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m running blouse piece. See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
