Raspberry Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Deep Navy Purple Korvai Border
Raspberry Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Deep Navy Purple Korvai Border
Ram Navami — temple procession and community prasad distribution calls for a saree with quiet ceremonial weight. This handwoven pure silk Kanjivaram saree is woven in the traditional Korvai technique, where body and border are woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom. Each saree involves two separate weaving processes — the Korvai construction requires body and border to be woven on separate looms before structural interlocking. 15 days on the loom, and cannot be replicated by machine. This saree is handwoven by our partner weaver families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.
The body glows in a luminous raspberry pink, woven from 100% pure mulberry silk with a rich, jewel-like depth. Delicately spaced antique gold zari floral buttas add a graceful rhythm across the silk. Explore more from our Korvai Kanchipuram collection.
A striking deep navy purple Korvai border creates dramatic contrast, richly woven with gold zari floral vines, yali-inspired motifs, and intricate geometric panels — a combination long associated with weddings and temple occasions. The grand pallu continues the same opulent zari artistry. See more Kanchipuram ceremonial silks.
Pair this saree with a deep navy purple silk blouse and antique gold temple jewellery for a Ram Navami temple visit, a wedding, or a festive family gathering. Fresh jasmine in the hair completes a classic South Indian look.
