Rani Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Butta Saree with Thazhampoo Reku Buttas, Antique Gold Zari and Deep Green Selvedge

Rani Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Butta Saree with Thazhampoo Reku Buttas, Antique Gold Zari and Deep Green Selvedge

For a wedding celebration, a temple occasion or any gathering that calls for jewel-toned silk, Rani Pink gives this handwoven pure silk Kanjivaram Butta saree a vivid, luminous presence. The silk moves between raspberry pink, magenta and deeper pink through the folds, while antique-gold zari brings warmth and definition, and traditional Thazhampoo Reku buttas trace their elongated shapes across the body.

❖ This saree took 42 days to make — the silk is dyed, threaded, and hand-woven over roughly 16 on the loom.

This is a confirmed Butta composition in pure mulberry silk, distinguished by traditional Thazhampoo Reku buttas — elongated antique-gold zari motifs — set among smaller traditional zari accents across the body. A saree of this type typically represents approximately 14 to 18 active days on the loom, although individual weaving time varies. Woven for Idam Living by skilled artisan families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

Body, Border and Pallu: The body is a saturated Rani Pink with strong magenta and raspberry depth, brightening to a luminous pink in direct light and deepening toward a richer jewel-tone through the folds. Traditional Thazhampoo Reku buttas — elongated antique-gold zari motifs — are scattered across the body alongside smaller round traditional zari accents, with antique-gold zari standing out strongly against the vivid pink silk. The broad border develops into a rich antique-gold zari field with fine diamond texture and traditional ornamental registers, finished with a narrow Deep Green selvedge that gives the pink and gold combination a restrained, traditional contrast. The pallu is considerably denser, with an extensive antique-gold lattice, multiple traditional woven registers and the same Deep Green edging. Explore the Butta collection, or browse the wider pure silk Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.

Styling: Pair it with Rani Pink for a tonal look, Deep Green for a traditional contrast, or antique gold for a richer ceremonial blouse treatment. The saturated pink and gold palette works beautifully for weddings, temple occasions, festive gatherings and Indian cultural celebrations.
