A saree built for the occasion where nothing is understated — deep purple pure silk densely worked with jewel-toned butti and finished in a wide, richly patterned gold border. This is a Pattu Silk Chanderi: woven entirely in pure mulberry silk with no cotton blend, the most luxurious of the four traditional Chanderi weaves, closest in feel to a Kanjeevaram but a fraction of the weight. Handwoven by the weavers' collective in Ashok Nagar, Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. Read our Chanderi silk guide or learn about the four types of Chanderi silk.

The body is woven in deep purple pure silk, densely scattered all over with meenakari butti — single-thread (eknaal) medallion motifs finished in an enamel-style multi-tone effect of gold, silver, and rose thread. Explore our full Chanderi pure silk saree collection.

The border is a wide antique gold nakshi band — an intricately patterned border style — edged in a green chevron stripe, opening into a matching eknaal-worked pallu with the same ornamental density as the border.

Pair with a gold or deep purple silk blouse and antique gold jewellery — well suited to weddings, receptions, and formal celebrations where dense, jewel-toned ornamentation is the goal. See our full guide to styling Chanderi by occasion.
