Pistachio Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Kanchi Kattam Saree with Neelam Blue Gold Zari Border

Pistachio Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Kanchi Kattam Saree with Neelam Blue Gold Zari Border

Pistachio green and deep Neelam blue give this Kancheepuram a cooler, more graphic expression of Kanchi Kattam. Tiny checks cover the pale body with disciplined geometry, while the border and pallu move into saturated royal blue and warm classic gold.

❖ Every saree is made to order. 42 days pass between dyeing the silk and the finished weave, roughly 16 of it spent on the loom.

Classic Kanchi Kattam weaving defines the pure mulberry silk body of this Kancheepuram, with fine regular checks creating the principal body structure. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.

Border: The contrast border turns into deep Neelam blue, with a central classic-gold ornamental register carrying floral-style and leaf-like forms framed by fine linear bands.

Pallu: The pallu remains in the deep-blue family, opening into a broad muted-gold micro-geometric field with multiple long zari bands that give the endpiece a more architectural finish.

Styling: A Neelam blue blouse creates the cleanest transition from body to border. For a softer option use pistachio silk with blue piping. Antique-gold earrings, a low bun and a compact blue clutch will keep the palette focused.

A strong option for Deepavali, evening receptions, temple cultural programs, Carnatic concerts, weddings and classical performances.

Frequently bought together

What defines the Kanchi Kattam structure on this pistachio-green saree?
Small regular checks create the principal geometric structure across the pistachio-green body, which is why the saree is classified as Kanchi Kattam.
How does the Neelam Blue border change the pale green body?
The deep Neelam Blue border creates a strong cool contrast against the pale pistachio field, while classic-gold ornamental weaving connects the two colour areas.
How would you style pistachio green with Neelam Blue?
A Neelam Blue blouse gives the clearest coordinated contrast, while pistachio with blue piping is quieter. Antique-gold jewellery keeps the palette connected to the border.
Can handmade tassels be added to this saree order?
Handmade silk-thread tassels are available as an optional Idam Living add-on, subject to the current service options.
What care is recommended for the checked silk and gold-zari border?
Dry clean only, store in soft muslin away from direct sunlight, and do not spray perfume directly onto either the silk or zari.
