This striking pink Pure Kanchipuram Silk Korvai saree is paired with a rich vermilion-red contrast. Body and border are woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom. Each saree involves two separate weaving processes — the Korvai construction requires body and border to be woven on separate looms before structural interlocking — 45 days from dyeing to weaving, roughly 20 of them on the loom, and cannot be replicated by machine. The body of this pure silk Kanchipuram saree is woven in bright pink pure mulberry silk, offset by a rich vermilion-red Korvai border.

What makes this saree especially beautiful is the succession of handwoven zari panels: delicate geometric bands, stylised floral and paisley-inspired forms, fine dotted lines and repeating ornamental patterns are layered one after another into the pallu, giving the traditional zari vocabulary an unexpectedly fresh, celebratory character.

Let a zari-toned, antique-gold blouse echo the metallic thread running through those layered panels. A statement choker in matching antique gold and an open pallu let the panelled zari work read clearly.
