Draped for a Sankranti kite festival and community lunch — Telugu association event, this pillar-box red Pure Kanchipuram Silk saree is handwoven in the traditional Varisaipet weave. Traditional multi-band border structure with repeated woven lines. Each saree takes 42 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Woven by our family's artisan weaver families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

The Varisaipet body in pillar-box red — the luminous pillar-box red body is patterned with fine gold zari lines arranged lengthwise and across the body, forming an elegant structured grid, with petite antique-gold zari motifs scattered between the lines, in pure mulberry silk.
The border is a contrasting deep brown and vermilion border, finished with traditional floral zari detailing and fine horizontal zari bands, completed with a richly finished pallu that completes the architectural symmetry of the border.
Handwoven by skilled artisan families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, using pure mulberry silk and traditional handloom techniques, this saree is perfect for weddings, temple celebrations, festive gatherings and traditional occasions.
