Pillar Box Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Radiant Pink Gandaberunda Zari Border

Pillar Box Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Radiant Pink Gandaberunda Zari Border

An annaprasanam (first rice feeding) ceremony calls for a saree that feels joyful and celebratory. This handwoven pure silk Kanchi Pattu saree is woven in a vibrant pillar box red body, adorned with small zari-woven Gandaberunda buttas scattered gracefully across the drape, a hallmark of traditional Kanchipuram craftsmanship. Each saree takes 40 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Woven by our family's artisan weaver families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Read our story.
