Border: The broad border layers Arakku red with deep-green checked silk blocks, multiple geometric seer rows and an expansive gold register of peacocks and flowering forms. The dense ornament is balanced by the open spacing of the body buttas.

Pallu: The Arakku red pallu shifts to circular gold zari medallions and a long vertical ornamental panel, extending the peacock-and-floral vocabulary while creating a saturated counterpoint to the Mayil Kazhuthu body.
