Peacock Teal Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Korvai Weave and Royal Purple Zari Border

Draped for a Onam Sadya and cultural programme by the Kerala association, this peacock teal Pure Kanchipuram Silk saree is handwoven in the traditional Korvai weave. Body and border woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom. Each saree takes 45 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. The Korvai body in peacock teal — the peacock teal body is patterned with fine, evenly spaced antique-gold zari lines, creating a clean rhythmic finish across the silk, in pure mulberry silk.

The border is a contrasting royal purple Korvai border, densely woven with gold zari and traditional peacock and floral motifs framed by intricate heritage bands, completed with a grand Korvai pallu that mirrors the peacock and floral motifs of the border.

Handwoven by skilled artisan families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, using pure mulberry silk and traditional handloom techniques, this saree is perfect for weddings, festive celebrations and traditional occasions.
