Peacock Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Petite Zari Buttas and Magenta Gold Border
Peacock Blue Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Petite Zari Buttas and Magenta Gold Border
This handwoven pure silk Kanchipuram is built around an exceptionally luminous peacock-blue body that shifts between turquoise blue, teal and deeper sapphire as the silk catches the light. The changing colour gives the saree a quietly dramatic shot-silk quality.

The body follows a classic Butta composition, punctuated by petite individually woven zari motifs placed at generous intervals. Their delicate scale brings just enough shimmer while leaving the extraordinary blue silk as the focus.
A narrow violet-magenta transition introduces the border, making the blue appear even more electric. Beyond it, the saree opens into a broad antique-gold appearance zari border framed with fine purple-magenta lines and a small ornamental upper register. The effect is stately and distinctly jewel-toned.
The pallu adds another layer of richness. It moves into a violet-magenta field carrying repeated round gold zari motifs and a broader ornamental panel worked with layered traditional registers, medallion-like details and figurative ornament. The contrast between the open peacock-blue body and the more elaborate purple-gold pallu gives the saree strong visual balance.
The final impression is luminous and refined: peacock blue, teal, sapphire, violet-magenta and muted antique gold, all working together in an unmistakably Kanchipuram colour story.
Styling: Pair it with a blouse in peacock blue, deep violet-magenta or muted antique gold. Traditional gold earrings or one temple-style necklace are enough. An open pallu will best showcase the contrast between the bright blue body and the richer purple-gold finish.
