Pastel Multicolour Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Pattupet Weave
Pastel Multicolour Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree with Pattupet Weave
Celebrating a daughter's birthday with a saree she'll treasure for years, this handwoven pure silk Kanchipuram saree in the Pattupet weave brings pastel elegance to any celebration. Pattupet: Silk-only weave, no zari — the beauty here comes entirely from the harmony of pure coloured silk threads, not embellishment. Each saree takes 8 days on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine. Woven by our family's artisan weaver families in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Read our story of the hands behind every saree we bring to you.
The body is woven in soft pastel panels of blush pink, aqua blue, mint green and ivory, each stripe rendered in pure mulberry silk with the quiet lustre only hand-spun silk threads can hold. This is Pattupet at its most essential — no zari, no embroidery, just colour and craftsmanship in conversation with each other. Explore more of our pure silk Kanchipuram sarees, each handwoven with the same care.
The pallu continues the same pastel palette in a coordinated finish, carrying the saree's soft, contemporary character through to its most visible drape. As with the rest of the saree, the border and pallu stay true to the Pattupet tradition — no heavy zari, letting the colour palette itself carry the saree's elegance.
This soft-toned saree suits daytime celebrations, temple visits, intimate weddings, festive gatherings, and elegant formal occasions with equal ease. Pair it with a self-colour ivory or blush pink silk blouse, and let the jewellery stay light — a temple-work necklace in gold, or a pair of jhumkas, is all it needs.
