Pastel Lavender Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Zari Kattam and Antique Gold Border
Pastel Lavender Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Zari Kattam and Antique Gold Border
For a Rakhi family gathering, with the sister hosting the celebration, this Pastel Lavender Pure Silk KanchiPattu brings a softer colour story to ceremonial Kanchipuram silk, confirmed as a Zari Kattam Kanchipuram where fine zari threads intersect across the silk body to form a luminous grid. Its silvery-lilac body is crossed with an exceptionally fine gold Zari Kattam, while traditional medallions and ornamental buttas add measured points of gold across the delicate grid. Handwoven for Idam Living by weaving families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story and meet the weaving community behind our sarees.

Body: The pure silk body is a luminous Pastel Lavender with a soft silvery-lilac undertone, reminiscent of wisteria in early morning light. Exceptionally fine gold zari lines form a delicate Kattam shimmer across the silk. Traditional circular medallions and other ornamental zari buttas alternate through the checked body, giving the surface richness while preserving the airy quality of the lavender. Explore our Pure Silk Kanchipuram collection.
Border: A broad Antique Gold zari field brings ceremonial weight to the cool body, framed by intricate floral and classical ornamental woven bands. Along its edge runs a slender Burnished Orange selvedge, an unexpectedly warm detail that gives the lavender-and-gold palette a distinctly vintage South Indian punctuation. Explore our Zari Kattam Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.
Pallu: The pallu becomes considerably richer, opening into a generous expanse of gold zari with finely worked geometric lattice, ornamental panels and traditional decorative motifs. Lavender silk remains visible through the zari, keeping the pallu luminous and intricate rather than visually overpowering.
Styling: Pair the saree with a lighter tonal blouse in icy lilac or very pale lavender, then keep the jewellery to compact antique-gold earrings so the zari medallions and orange edge stay visible. Wear the hair in a high polished ponytail with softly curved ends and a clean side part, and leave the richly woven pallu open.
