The pure mulberry silk body is woven in a vivid parrot green, creating an exceptionally saturated ground. The open silk allows the full intensity of the colour to remain paramount, providing a striking backdrop for the ornamental border composition. Explore our Korvai Kanchipuram silk sarees.
The Kaal Irangiya gold Korvai border is woven entirely in antique-gold zari on a deep burgundy-red silk ground. The "Kaal Irangiya" or "time transformed" name refers to the specific pattern composition. Fine ornamental bands alternate with larger motifs—repeated temple-inspired forms, geometric diamonds and interlocking floral elements—all framed by precise geometric registers. The burgundy pallu continues this composition with concentrated gold zari work and the same ornamental vocabulary, creating a richly substantial finish.
Choose a sharply cut parrot-green blouse with a contemporary neckline, letting the colour saturation pair with architectural simplicity. Finish with antique-gold earrings and a single sculptural cuff. A precise low bun and fully open pallu will reveal the gold zari, ornamental motifs and geometric composition of the border and pallu.
Current Look: Kangana Ranaut's recent lime-green Kanjeevaram appearance has kept fresh heritage green silks within the current visual conversation. This saree connects through its vivid parrot-green silk, while its Kaal Irangiya ornamental border, substantial Korvai work and burgundy pallu remain distinctly its own.
