Orchid Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Vairaoosi Saree with Kili Motifs and Contrast Meena Selvedge

Orchid Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Vairaoosi Saree with Kili Motifs and Contrast Meena Selvedge

Soft as orchid petals and touched with the hush of first light, this saree moves through lilac-rose pink, blush pallu tones and pale gold zari, all lifted by a cool mint selvedge. The kili motifs hold tiny flashes of contrast meena, like little leaves caught in sun.

❖ Woven in Kanchipuram over 20 days on the loom, using Silk Mark certified pure silk, by artisans who have handed this craft down through generations.

Woven in the elegant Vairaoosi manner, the body carries fine linear zari rhythm that gives the silk a delicate, jewel-like surface. Along the body appear Kili motifs, each parrot picked out in zari and brightened with contrast green meena detailing that brings the bird to life. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Read our story.

Colour: The body reads as orchid pink with lilac undertones, while the pallu softens into blush pink. Pale gold zari washes the saree in light, and the mint-green selvedge gives it a fresh edge.

Border and Selvedge: A refined zari border holds the drape neatly, while the cool green selvedge provides the contrast note the saree needs.

Pallu: The pallu is rich yet graceful, woven densely enough to feel special while keeping the saree easy to carry through long festive wear. Explore the Vairaoosi collection, or browse the wider pure silk Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.

Styling: Beautiful for festive lunches, intimate weddings, receptions and occasions where a softer Kanchipuram palette is desired.
