Orange Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Oosi Zari Kattam Saree with Rani Pink Gold Zari Border

Orange Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Oosi Zari Kattam Saree with Rani Pink Gold Zari Border

Vivid Orange gives this handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram a saturated ceremonial body, structured through exceptionally fine Oosi Kattam. Closely spaced gold-zari lines form a delicate geometric rhythm across the silk, punctuated by small gold motifs without disturbing the clarity of the weave.

❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree took 42 days — dyeing, threading, and roughly 16 on the loom — to complete.

This is a confirmed Zari Kattam composition. Exceptionally fine Oosi Kattam lines create a delicate geometric rhythm, with small gold motifs punctuating the closely spaced grid without disturbing the clarity of the weave.

Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.

Border: A saturated Rani Pink contrast frames the orange body and creates a distinctly South Indian colour pairing, developed through broad gold-zari with traditional figurative and ornamental detailing.

Pallu: The pallu becomes considerably richer through dense zari patterning and layered traditional bands.

Styling: A Rani Pink blouse reinforces the contrast, while Orange creates a saturated tonal treatment. Antique gold or deep green gives the saree a more ceremonial finish.
