The Vairaoosi body is woven in a nuanced olive green pure mulberry silk, the fine zari lines running closely across it to create a subtle striped luminosity that shifts as the saree moves. Traditional antique gold zari buttas are woven at measured intervals across the body, adding ornamentation without disturbing the refined rhythm of the Vairaoosi lines.

The olive green is dramatically framed by a deep royal purple border, richly woven in antique gold zari with floral vine detailing and finely articulated ornamental bands. The pallu becomes considerably more elaborate, with broad fields of luminous zari punctuated by repeated floral vine bands and traditional geometric detailing — the contrast with the restrained body gives the saree a particularly elegant, heirloom character.
