Oil Mustard and Arakku Red Pure Kanchipuram Silk Saree with Peacock and Elephant Border

Oil Mustard and Arakku Red Pure Kanchipuram Silk Saree with Peacock and Elephant Border

Pure Kanchipuram Silk in oil mustard, the mellow gold of sun-warmed grain, paired with the glowing depth of Arakku red. Fine Oosi Vaanam lines lend texture to the ochre body, with little zari buttas catching the light like scattered seeds. A grand red border carries the familiar Kanchi procession of Yaanai and Mayil, while the pallu glimmers with closely worked, intricate woven lines. Richly traditional, yet beautifully composed.

❖ Woven on traditional handlooms by artisan families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, where generations of weaving knowledge shape every saree. Approximately 16 active days on the loom, followed by careful finishing.
