Woven as a Butta Kanchipuram, the body uses individually spaced classic-gold zari motifs against saturated Neelam blue silk, leaving generous open areas between them. The restraint of the body creates a deliberate contrast with the much richer red-and-gold edge. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Border: The vermilion-red border is substantially more ornate than the body, with broad classic-gold zari fields, floral and geometric woven detailing and fine supporting registers. The warm red-and-gold edge gives the cool blue silk a strong traditional contrast.

Pallu: The contrast pallu continues in vermilion red with extensive classic-gold zari, dense ornamental woven sections and multiple fine linear registers. Its heavier gold concentration creates a richer shoulder finish against the comparatively open Butta body.

Styling: Keep the blouse Neelam blue for a long uninterrupted colour line, or repeat the vermilion red for a more traditional contrast. Antique-gold jhumkas, a compact temple necklace and jasmine on a low braid or bun will work naturally. For evening wear, leave more of the zari-rich pallu visible over the shoulder.
