Woven in the traditional Varisaipet style, this saree brings together a mustard-yellow silk body and a border arranged in multiple ornamental zari registers. Fine longitudinal detailing runs through the body, while the contrasting Arakku border introduces alternating gold bands, elephant motifs and smaller floral elements. The repeated arrangement gives the saree a strong traditional character without overwhelming the colour of the silk. Border: The deep Arakku border is composed of several horizontal gold zari registers, a characteristic feature of Varisaipet weaving. Repeated Yaanai, or elephant motifs, are arranged between fine zari lines, small floral rows and broader decorative bands. The lower register carries densely worked ornamental detailing, creating a beautifully layered contrast against the restrained mustard-yellow body.

Pallu: A rich Arakku red-maroon pallu carries a dense gold zari geometric lattice, complemented by ornamental floral detailing. Its closely repeated pattern creates a luminous contrast with the more open treatment of the body, bringing the colour and zari work together when the saree is draped.

Styling: An Arakku blouse would create a coordinated traditional look, while antique gold would bring a softer contrast to the mustard body. Pair with gold jhumkas, a traditional necklace and jasmine around a low bun. Let the pallu fall broadly over the shoulder to reveal its woven detail.
